Find out more about Clunkamoor:

Leonbergers at ClunkamoorClunkamoor Kennels opened in 1986 under the care of Pam and Chas Newman. In 1997 Pam decided that due to an illness in the family, she would have to retire to Brixham and I took over the running of Clunkamoor.

The kennels nestle in the rolling hills of the South Hams and enjoy beautiful views in an extremely rural location, interupted only by the occasional passing horse and even less frequent car.

German Sheperds at ClunkamoorMy staff and I endeavor to look after our boarders as well as we would expect our own animals to be treated, paying particular attention to diet and individual levels of exercise and socialization.

My love of animals has been with me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was a regular visitor to the PDSA with all sorts of creatures, great and small, that I found injured on highways and in hedgerows. I grew up with a dear old dog called Scamp who was an Old English Sheepdog cross and a tortoiseshell cat called Sue.

LKeonberger Puppy at ClunkamoorMy passion for all things doggy really got a hold when I was 22 years old and my GSD, Sacha, had a litter of pups and soon after I started to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome all kinds of animals but particularly, German Shepherds.

I consider myself to be one of those very lucky people who have, for the most part, been able to follow my heart and do the work that I love and long may that continue.
